aliandrews 98 Posted January 15, 2012 So...yesterday was quite interesting. I have been pretty good about cravings but yesterday it wass bad. It's like my brain had mind of it's own. I went to my neighbors spa party and she had cupcakes, chips and dip, and Cookies. I so desperately wanted the sweets, but I stayed away. I did have 2 chips and a teeny amount of dip. I ate the chips and didn't have much of the dip. I think that started the big time cravings. I came home and had a veggie burger with cheese and later I had another piece of cheese. I woke up this morning a pound up. I will be staying away from chips from now on. I know I didn't mess things up too much, but I just don't like gaining weight. Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted January 15, 2012 I've had those days. It is probably nothing tho. Just stick to the Protein first, Water, and then the rest. This is doable.
Lissa 2,631 Posted January 15, 2012 I have those days, too. I've learned to keep the trigger foods out of the house. I love me some crunchy cheetos and I will eat the whole bag. When I really want some, I go to the gas station and buy a small bag. Then I try to make myself eat them over a few days rather than all at once. Sometimes I'm successful at that! LOL Usually I keep myself from eating trigger foods because they aren't in the house. I still don't believe those foods are "bad", but some foods lead me to want more junk than I want to eat. his2my2our4 120 Posted January 15, 2012 Ugh! I hate those days!! For me it isn't the sweets, it's the salty crunch things! I'm like Lissa...they do not come in my house! lol Luckily you realize that you had a rough day. It's over...today is a new day. Keep going in the right direction and don't look back. Trust me, I'm sure we've all had days like that. Just don't beat yourself up over it :-)
hadouni 301 Posted January 16, 2012 I had a birthday party today and as I'm only 6 days post-op, I couldn't have anything- not even iced tea because it wasn't decaf! Having my darling son kiss me with his little frosting and cake coated lips was torture. Yesterday the smell that had me crazy was popcorn. Tomorrow I get to add some foods but still another week of liquids. I'm not going to complain much though because I'm loosing well and might even make it to 20lbs when I see the surgeon on Thursday. andersonlj 32 Posted January 16, 2012 That little bit that you ate at the party did not make you gain a pound. And why are you putting yourself through that by weighing the next day. I think that your scale should be locked away and only come out once a week as for some it can be a devastating thing. Weighing daily is never a good idea and can defeat everything that you are trying. Please....please.....pleae......lock that scale away or take it to the neighbors but do not weigh on a daily basis.
