Great topic! I normally don't buy crazy expensive clothes for myself. However, there are a pair of Rock Revival jeans that have my name on them as soon as I get to goal. I too have been wearing the same fat mom jeans for years. My weight and health are not the only things I'm planning on changing! ;) I have a board on Pinterest titled "Dream Clothes" where I save ideas for the kind of stuff I know I'll get to wear someday. It's a fun motivational tool. Here's a link to my "dream" jeans: http://pinterest.com/pin/37576978110497042/

These are awesome!!

Hell, i just can't wait to fit into my old 'skinny' jeans. Not the new type of skinny jeans with the narrow leg. I mean the ones I had in college that were my favorite and I haven't fit into since 2002.

I bought a pair of size 4 since they were on sale. I don't know if they will just taunt me from my closet or be a reward just yet, but I definitely want to find out.

I am with the, "any jeans from a trendy store in the mall" gang, lol. They will be just one of many rewards to myself when I reach goal.

O my Lord,I am so clueless to cool kinds of jeans!! HAHA I am with Dooter,I have been in the same few pairs of fat mom jeans for years it seems! CANNOT wait to go into the mall and go crazy!!!!! It's def gonna feel like Christmas. =)) I think for every mini goal that I reach,I will put away like $20-50. That way I will have some moolah saved for when I reach my actual goal weight!!!! =D

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
