Swimmer 199 Posted January 13, 2012 I can't seem to see the tickers so was curious. If you are comfortable what was your high weight, surgery weight and weight two months out? It seems like many lose about forty by two months. Is the loss much higher for higher bmi patients, I'm starting around 30 bmi by surgery date? Thanks! MoonSiren 48 Posted January 13, 2012 I've lost 40+ counting the 1 week pre-op liquid diet! My starting weight was 300 lbs and now I am 260. It has been a little over a month since my Dec 6th surgery date.
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted January 13, 2012 You should maybe think in terms of excess weight lost rather then number of pounds. My NUT gave me rough guidance that 2-3 months post op people should have lost 20-30% of their excess weight. Excess weight is start weight minus "ideal weight" according to the charts.. I am one month out and have lost about 24% of my excess weight already.
Swimmer 199 Posted January 13, 2012 Wow 40 in a month! Way to go I bet you are feeling great! Very good point about the excess weight. I was hoping for forty in about two months. I have a total of about 70 to go. I hanger not had a pre op diet really just did out on my own since getting close to my date and have taken off about twenty so far. Thanks for the responses. I love this site. I've learned so much here!
