Soy crisps are yummy. They come in all sorts of flavors. I like the BBQ and the White Cheddar.

I did chex rice Cereal after 2 weeks they were really easy and broke down in my mouth to nothing. at that time I wasnt worried about carbs, calories, fat. I was weak and frankly needed it. I don't eat it anymore since it is a "slider" food and I can eat alot, I would NOT eat any nuts until 1 month post op.

Nuts are what I do - almonds, mixed, edamamae. I measure and account for them but they don't set me on a carb bender like crackers or cereal does :)

Mmmmm soy crisps?!? Where do u find those daisy ?

The brand is Genisoy. I used to be able to get them from Walmart but for some crazy reason, they don't carry them anymore. I've seen them at other grocery stores though.

Now I get them where I get everything.... vitacost.com I get my Vitamins, shakes, Protein bars, just about everything there. shipping is free if you order $49 worth and I always order that much.

These are sooo good, only .5g carbs and 3g Protein per serving! Tip: I usually only put them in the micro. for 35 sec tho, its trial and error

Crispy cheese Crackers

Ingredients:

Deluxe American cheese slices (not cheese food or cheese product)

Directions:

Cut one square of cheese into 16 tiny squares. Arrange on a sheet of parchment paper in somewhat of a ring around the edges of the paper. Don't place the cheese squares too close together or they'll stick to each other. Don't place any in the center of the paper or they will burn before the outer squares are done. Carefully place the sheet of parchment on the tray of a microwave oven. Microwave on HIGH about 65 seconds, or until the crackers are well-browned, but not burnt. Watch closely and add more time if needed. Remove the parchment from microwave and let the crackers cool slightly before removing them from the paper. Peel them off the paper and store in an airtight container. Repeat this process one cheese slice at a time. These will keep quite well in an air-tight container at room temperature for several days or longer.

Each slice of cheese makes 16 crackers

Can be frozen

Per Serving (16 crackers): 106 Calories; 9g Fat; 6g Protein; .5g Carbohydrate; 0g Fiber; .5g Net Carbs

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
