Supposed To Start Pureed Foods. It Just Sounds Gross! Any Suggestions?

Hi everyone, so my doc says I can start pureed foods today. Where do I start? It all sounds so gross! I can't think of one thing that I would puree and eat, besides a banana. pureed meat? I'm gagging at just the thought of it! lol

Any suggestions for something tasty?

I enjoy refried Beans, red beans (with no rice), scrambled eggs, pureed tuna salad, pureed chicken salad, etc. With the pureed salads, it tastes the same, just spread a bit thinner.

I've really enjoyed adding baby food fruits like pear and mango to my Greek-style yogurt. This is one way to enjoy purees. You can also make a really good "huevos ranchero" by soft-poaching egg whites, topping them with a smooth sauce (I like Trader Joe's enchilada sauce) and shredded BabyBel cheese. You should check out the Recipe Sharing forum to see some of the things that have been posted to see if anything sounds good to you, if only to use as a leaping-off point.

      Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

        Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive).
