plyman 13 Posted January 9, 2012 I am so excited, I was scheduled for 1/17 but my surgeon had to change the date and he moved it up to 1/10/12. Wow it is time now. I am doing and feeling great so I am ready ( I think) I am so happy it is almost here. I have one question. My sister is taking me for my surgery. Can someone tell me how long the surgery takes? It is something I forgot to ask my surgeon. Patti 1 Bulldawgma reacted to this
Liliana Arleen 173 Posted January 9, 2012 Congrats on having a date and GOOD LUCK!!!! I think my surgery took about 1 hour and half. I guess it depends on the surgeon etc.
DisappearingDivis 36 Posted January 9, 2012 Congratulations!! My surgery was about 2hrs but then they put you in recovery for a while before they transfer you to your room. I would say 3hrs to be on the safe side. Oh and the best advise I got was WALK, WALK, WALK as soon as possible! Good luck!!
Oopsseedaisy 90 Posted January 9, 2012 Sending good wishes and healing vibes out for you tomorrow. Your beginning mantra must be Rest, Sip, Walk, repeat ... 1 Bulldawgma reacted to this
janerose 109 Posted January 9, 2012 Tomorrow for me also - as of right now it is 8:00a - expecting a call from the hopsital this afternoon to confirm check in time. Yes, I am nervous - but know I am doing the right thing for my health. Good luck and as they say see you on the losers side of the bench!
lisahg 9 Posted January 9, 2012 That is an exciting surprise to have your surgery moved up a week. As I anxiously counted down the days to my surgery, I hoped I would get that kind of phone call. Good Luck!! Check in when you can to tell us how everything went.
plyman 13 Posted January 9, 2012 Thank you all for the great hints and well wishes. I love how supportive you all are. I am so excited. Janerose - I will be praying for you as well. See you on the other side of the surgery verrrry soon. Lisa, Cheri, Divas and Liliana - I think I got it in my head - REST, SIP, WALK, REST. SIP. WALK, REST,SIP, WALK. I will let you know how it all went soon. Patti
Catracks 865 Posted January 9, 2012 Mine is on the 11th. Oh boy. I'm getting just a tad freaked out because I HATE to be all helpless and invalided -- even if it is only a few days. Having an IV is okay, but a catheter? Bleech!
