Let me ask this, do those who start on soft foods at day 15, do you stall with your weight loss?

Wow....it seems as though there is a lot of variety on how to progress, but the consistency is Proteins and slowly adding. Thank you everyone for sharing.

My surgeon has you do ten days of clear liquids, ten days of full liquids and ten days of mushies.

I did have problems, but that was in large part my own fault. I just couldn't get enough fluids in my body. We all know how difficult it is in the beginning to even just sip a drink. I didn't push myself enough to sip, sip, sip and when my family asked me if I was sipping, I fibbed and said "of course I am". Well, I wasn't and I landed in the hospital three times in the first month due to severe dehydration, which resulted in bladder and kidney infections. That is why I am such a strong advocate now about really getting on to people to make sure they get their fluids in, no matter how difficult it is, because it really is vital to your health that you do so.

Mine is yet again different --

Day of sleeve- nothing

First week -- clear liquids only (including Protein clear liquids, like Isopure, powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken soup)

Weeks 2 & 3 - full liquids -- blended Soups. Protein shakes, yogurt, cottage cheese (why this counts as a full liquid, not sure, but its on the list), milk.

Weeks 4-5 - soft foods -- eggs, cottage cheese, deli meats, soft/canned fish, ground or canned chicken, refried Beans, veggies soft enough to mash with fork, cheese. (I will be in heaven come wednesday....LOL), tablespoon or so of fruit.< /p>

Weeks 6 on -- regular diet, no breads or Pasta, careful about tough meats or fibrous veggies, limit starchy veggies to 2-4 tablespoons per week.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
