Ok. I'm eight months out and down a total of 77 pounds since surgery. 103 pounds to include preop loss. I currently weigh 138

I had to go bra shopping because the girls have shrank. Lol!!! Being over weight my entire life... I've always had big girls. 40DD.... Today I want shopping and had to get a 34 C cup. Oh and I also need to mention I had to get all push up bras!!! Never in my life have I needed that. It felt very strange. I guess on a positive note... I did get to shop for pretty girly stuff instead of the over the shoulder bolder holders. Lol!!!

Wow you have done great!!!

My personal goal is to hit 130. I weighed in today at 137 so just a little more. Then I guess the goal will be to try and maintain that weight.

I'm 5'1" and had the sleeve on 4/23/13. Down 11 pounds at 2 weeks. My "ideal body weight" is 105, but there is no chance in heck I'm going to make that! I would look emaciated! I'm aiming for 120, that seems more realistic.

I'd be happy if I could get more than a pound or two per week.

Hello,

Loved reading that there are others in my same situation. I was sleeved on May 20th so just 5 days post op. HW was 229 and SW was 219. Will have my follow up appointment on the 30th. The only problem I'm having is all of the gas bubbles when I eat or drink. Not so much nausea just gas pressure. I can hear all of the rumbling all of the time, kinda weird. Still taking a small amount of pain meds but tapering off of them. Able to go for walks without feeling bad, yea me.

Congratulations to everyone and their individual successes and those to come :)

Very Inspired!!!!

I was sleeved in July 23rd. I am down 76 pounds. I am 5'. My HW was 220. My CW is 144. I am trying to get down to 128. It's been slow going these last couple of months. I am wearing a size 8 or sometimes a 6. Never did I think I would be wearing such small sizes. In fact, yesterday I saw the cutest pair of capris I was looking for my size but they were all sold out. I was willing to get a 10, but they were too big. It was a great feeling telling hubby, they were all to big, they don't have my size. He keeps telling me I am his incredible shrinking Debbie. I am so glad I did this. It was the best decision I've ever made.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
