Marnie85253 9 Posted January 5, 2012 I am checking in with my sleeve community to let you all know that I am 1 day post op and ouch! I'm very uncomfortable, I get why "gas" hurts so bad and my head is doing all the stuff you all told me it would. I am making a choice to completely surrender to this process. Instead of feeling regretful because I don't feel well, I choose to believe in your success stories. Not one of you said you were sorry so my goal for today is to walk, follow direction and continue to have faith! Faith that this will pass and that I will be a strong and healthy woman as a result of the choice I made! 3 BunnyLove, mocha and jennifer G reacted to this

Kathy Dipzinski 2 Posted January 5, 2012 Your doing great so far. I felt ok my first day and thought I would be typing away, but I didn't feel like it for almost a week. So good for you. I just had my 3 week check up and Ive lost 30 pounds. So keep walking its the best thing you can do. Best wishes to you. 1 BunnyLove reacted to this

Julie76 251 Posted January 5, 2012 Congratulations!! Walk walk walk but don't over do it. Take it easy. It may hurt right now but in a week or so you will be telling everyone how easy it was.
Catracks 865 Posted January 5, 2012 My surgery is less than 1 week away. I do have a love affair with food, but like you, I'm going to embrace the new life. I've only been on the liquid diet for a week and feel so much better.

Each day got easier is some aspect.. by the time I was home from the hospital, I was getting up and doing things on my own!!.. Keep a positive attitude and you'll continue to improve... Marnie85253 9 Posted January 6, 2012 You guys were all right! I'm home from the hospital now and it is getting better with each passing day! It's just sore, not really painful and have spent my day alternating walks with small naps. The weird part is that I feel like I should be eating but I'm not hungry. I guess that's what they refer to as " head hunger". Other than that, all is well!
aroundhky 1,174 Posted January 6, 2012 Congrats! Remember to walk, walk and then walk some more and to sip lots of Water. It's all downhill from here!
lisahg 9 Posted January 6, 2012 I am glad to hear you are doing better. The nurses at the hospital were very nice but I was so happy to be back in my own bed. I had the same "head hunger" sensation but I really had no appettite. I an my 2 week of full liquids and I am so looking forward to pureed food next week.
