figg22 1 Posted January 4, 2012 Hello everyone: I continue to ask questions to see what others have experienced.... So can someone please clarify that the tightness I feel in my sternum area when eating and drinking is perfectly normal? I am 2 weeks post op have insomnia, and some left side pain that comes and goes, and sometimes shortness of breath.....any thoughts? I am so nervous about getting a leak. MoonSiren 48 Posted January 4, 2012 If you drink or eat too fast then you feel that tightness. Always remember to never drink and eat at the same time. Wait 30 - 45 minutes between the two actions. I had left side pain as well that was probably from all the gas. Take the antacid and Gas-X strips to aliviate this pain. If you get a leak then I hear you get a high fever and chest pain since your body is trying to fight infection.
figg22 1 Posted January 4, 2012 Thank you Moonsiren! I appreciate your feedback. Do you think the lump in my throat is caused from stomach acid? I will try some meds to relieve.
