LoserMama 37 Posted January 3, 2012 I have some body shaper things I wear to smooth out the lumps and bumps. Is it ok to wear these at my stage (just abt 2 weeks) I am not having any incision issues.
gettingthere 11 Posted January 3, 2012 Hi. Wore mine to go shopping a few days ago for a couple of hours ( I am 3 weeks out) but had a pain at stomach level and on upper left side when i came back. I can only think my inside got compressed in a smaller space and my internal wounds didn't like it. It took a few days to settle down. Haven't done it since. SKCUNNINGHAM 298 Posted January 3, 2012 I think it would be fine, but you do need to make sure that the shaper isn't irritating your incisions. I wouldn't wear them 24 hours / day - incisions heal best when they get some air, I think.
wishes 125 Posted January 3, 2012 I wore my binder for about 2 weeks after surgery. It wasn't too tight at all, but definitely listen to your body if you feel pain.
Josh7821 0 Posted January 4, 2012 yeah its ok, i got a specific post surgical body shaper, to be more clear, this one http://www.classicshapewear.com/ann-chery-alexa-high-compression-bodysuit-3009-p-2313.html it doesnt irritates my body and also is comfortable, if you see any issues you should try to use post surgical Shapewear which is made for the porpuse. hope that helps!
