Nsvs That I Am Psyched About!

Recommended Posts

A couple NSVs I wanted to share

1. Removed the ol' bra extender!

2. Rings are too loose. They are spinning on my fingers.

3. Watch is too big, need to remove a link...or 2!

4. Officially in an XL! No more plus size section for tops!!

5. Need to buy some new undies!! I am constantly pulling them up!

6. Last and my FAVE... I can CROSS MY LEGS!!

I told my husband: "I'm just gonna sit here, with my legs crossed....forever!"love.gif

The sweet taste of victory - much better than any sweet you can put in your mouth. Congratulations!

YAY! I too just removed my bra extenders! My sister does bra measurements at Lane Bryant and took her about two weeks of telling me to take them off before I actually listened. Feels GREAT doesn't it?

Awesome!! I personally loved having to buy panties and leaving the plus size section... both were huge for me! Congrats and keep it up :)

You guys are doing a great job! Keep it up, we deserve this! I've decided I'm going to buy undies today. They are all falling off and way to baggie. Love it. LOL. ;)

These were some of my favorite along the way too...on to smaller and better (instead of bigger and better)!

This is great! I really enjoy reading everyone's NSVs. I went from a 42DD to a 38DD and now I'm having to be fitted again. I love it. And Leslie - you're doing fantastic for just having had your surgery a few weeks ago. Wait until it's been a few months and you can hardly believe how small you've gotten :)

Way to go! I was able to take the bra extender off my sports bra about a month ago and FINALLY broke down and bought new bras a week ago. I had gone from the first set of hooks to the very last one and they were still too loose and looked almost silly on me. :)

I'm now in an XL or L shirt too, and I totally agree that it's such an awesome feeling to shop in the "regular" section of the stores. I bought a few new things at Kohls and I was amazed at the selection for non-plus size. HURRAY!

It is soooo cool seeing the changes that are happening to our bodies. I looked at the bigger picture of being thin, not expecting to appreciate all the milestones along the way.cheer2.gif

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
