mwilson4040 28 Posted January 1, 2012 So my question is i will be having sleeve surgery on jan 18 and am going out of town around mid february for 2 months so will this be enough time to not be worried about having a complication 15 hrs from home and will this be enough time to be mentally prepared to leave friends and family
Kimmie-sleeve 34 Posted January 1, 2012 Not like I am a pro by any means... only 13 days out...It's tough to say... if you have smooth sailing and no complications, I would think you'd be fine. Can your surgeon recommend someone to call in the place you will be just in case you need it? My surgeon's office said to go to the ER if I had anything happen out of town, and gave me a number to have any doctor seeing me call the bariatric surgeon on call at MY hospital if i needed any treatment. Good luck, and take it really easy for that first month... Kimmie
Shalon 10 Posted January 2, 2012 I think you will be fine being away from home barring any complications, however, be prepared for the fatigue you will feel with little activity
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted January 2, 2012 You will probably be feeling better with some fatigue after all this is a surgery and your body will be working to repair it. If you have complications, you an always change your plans. Play it by ear... Welcome to the Loser's Club.
