Unjury is the best... no yucky smell... mixes well and tastes awesome! It is more expensive but honestly... it is worth every penny! You can find it at http://unjury.com

I must agree with Darcy!! I ordered the 4 samples for around 10.00 (inc. shipping) to try them. The only one I haven't tried is the unflavored one that I will mix with my broth, crystal light, juice, etc. I just re-ordered the big containers of the vanilla and unflavored. I'm not one for the taste of any type of Protein drink but these were pretty good. The chocolate was good, too, but the vanilla tasted great with blueberries in a blender and I figure I can always "flavor up" the vanilla.

I'm getting ready to go tomorrow for my surgery on Friday (Mexico). unjury is pretty good about getting it to you quickly, as well. Should have it early next week when I need it.

I love the Adkin's drinks myself. They have recently improved the taste and it is really good. You can choose between strawberry, vanilla and 2 chocolate flavors. They normally run about $5.00 for 4 cans at any Walmart. I have been drinking them for Breakfast for a long time now. I have not tried Unjury, but a lot of people on here swear by it. Hope this helps. My 7 days of liquid begin on Friday! Pray for me...

The Reclaim Double Dutch chocolate is very good and very satisfying both as a shake and as a plain drink. Myocel is pretty awful. Both are available at the SCOR center in Richardson and are what my surgeon requires for pre-op.

My favorite Protein powders are the Protein Delite....comes in many flavors that are just delicious - chocolate coconut is my favorite -but comes in many fruit flavors, too.

I hated every Protein Drink I ever tried. I use the Slim Fast powder (low carb) and add Knox bone and joint powder (tastless and adds protein). I mix it all in a min-blender with skim milk and some ice.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
