I'll tell you this- if my sleeve can handle it I will 100% have movie popcorn again in my life! All things in moderation and I will certainly not be eating the entire bucket myself... But I will enjoy it. I chose sleeve so that I could have all things in moderation!

I have had buffalo wings, they are one of my favorites too. They are a bit of a splurge - even though they are high in Protein, they are also high in fat so I try to avoid them in general. They also make me want to drink beer. :)

I am 4 1/2 months out and have had some popcorn, it's not a trigger food for me so when I get it for my daughter at the movies I'm content having a few bites.

I'm not doing super low-carb so I have had some breads, I find that regular bread fills me up too much but I sometimes will have a slice of toast with my egg for Breakfast - I think the bread being toasted helps it not be too "filling" if that makes sense.

I really don't feel like I'm limited at all with my food options, as long as I get my Protein in first and don't exceed my calorie targets for the day nothing is necessarily off-limits in moderation. I think people just need to know their trigger foods and avoid the slider carbs that can get them off-track (such as the tortilla chips and salsa I ate at dinner tonight with my family - those are a bad slider for me so I really, really try to avoid them).

Love this!!! I miss eating chips and salsa/ green sauce. The fried chips make me feel sick still at a year out. I used to be able to eat an entire basket by myself.

Thank you SO much for the food porn. My family thinks I am torturing myself by watching the Cooking channel and Food Network but I love food. I just can't eat the way I used and I'm definitely ok with that. I'm one month out and know that my sleeve is still sensitive so I will take it easy before tasting my favorite food again. Happy eating with your sleeves!

I LOVE hot wings and anything spicy. I am really hoping that my sleeve will tolerate spicy again. These days I am craving the weirdest thing: Dill pickles, the crunchy Claussen dill pickles. Someday.....

I'm going to miss Krispy Kreem donuts with goop in the middle. :'( Donuts are my favorite food group.

(Then I'll go try on some small clothes and feel better ;)

My favorite Mexican restaurant in town had the BEST chicken nachos. I can't wait to have some again, in several months time, of course. That and Papa John's pizza. Mmmm.

This is such a relief! I'm not alone!! I was feeling like a food "creeper" and honestly felt I was not normal!! 10 days out from surgery now & I have been watching food porn just about everyday!! I have been craving DILL PICKLES of all things! But other than that.... all is good! Thank you for the food-porn still pics!! Love it!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
