You know what to do--journal your food, eat Protein first, don't drink your calories, get regular exercise, take your Vitamins and supplements, drink your Water, cut out crap food, don't ignore the scale or how your clothes fit. Get back on track!

Maybe getting back to the basics. Starting with a liquids and drinking Protein Shakes again. This would be great for a kick start. MissDiva did post something on her about bootcamp to get back on track. Check it out. ;)

This has been posted a lot before but I understand it's really difficult to stretch your sleeve unless you had an issue at the beginning with the way your surgery was performed. The fundus (stretchy part) of your stomach is what was removed, and the remaining part is typically pretty muscular and really shouldn't stretch much.

I felt like I was eating far too much during the past few holiday weeks (and was . . . I was grazing and eating a lot of the wrong things) - but I got back on track today and got very full at Breakfast from my one egg, 1/2 oz of shredded cheese and 1 oz of canadian bacon - so I know that my sleeve is still doing what it's supposed to.

Just concentrate on getting back to the basics - no drinking while eating, Protein first, etc. We all know what we're supposed to be doing, it's just easy sometimes to backslide and fall into old habits!!

Here is Misslildiva bootcamp:

The BASICS BOOTCAMP:

For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only...

Proteins: Seafoods, Poultry and eggs, Dairies, nuts/seeds including Peanut Butter.

Veggies: Green only.

Fruits: None.

Breads/Cereals/Other Carbs: None.

Fluids: One gallon of Water (128 oz.) or Protein drinks.

Avoid: Sugar and Sodium

Once the 5 days are over, I am pretty much over the Sugar Carb Demon. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate carbs! I do need them to live a healthy life and since I workout a lot it is important I have them. However, I need GOOD carbs. Whole grains, fruits, veggies... But I don't need processed sugars. White carbs, in cereals, breads, rice... etc.

Lots will do the 5 day pouch test. http://www.5daypouchtest.com/ Great! To each their own. I personally do not do this. My first reason is because I don't have a pouch. I have a sleeve. The second reason is because for me, this has proven nothing but torture for me. I don't feel like I should have to do that. My personal program works just as good without that side effect. The only reasons I've ever done liquids only is simply from being threatened with my life (post op) or if I'm just feeling sick and to let my Sleevie rest. That's it.

Hope this helps...... ;)

I'm on the second day of Divas bootcamp and lost 2 pounds the first day. I just had to mostly dump the refined carbs for a while and get back on track. You know what you need to do, start by writing it all down somewhere... fitday or myfitnesspal... that really helps to get a hold of what you are doing to yourself. No regrets now, just do it.

I really thought I made some BAD decisions during the holidays (and I did) - but I got myself back on track today after the Christmas bacchanalia. Here was my intake today for an example - I didn't quite hit my Protein target but I may go in and have a bit of cottage cheese before I go to bed for a little xtra Protein boost:

Breakfast - 1 scrambled egg with 1 oz diced canadian bacon and 2% shredded cheese (about 1-2 tbsps).

lunch - leftover shredded chicken (about 2-2.5 oz) from mexican last night, with about 1/2 oz pinto Beans and the leftover sour cream sauce and pico de gallo

dinner - about 2/3 of a chicken burger (from Costco), small salad with feta cheese, Tomato, cucumber, and a new yummy greek dressing I just made from scratch

snack - I just ate a pickle :)

I had to make some guesses on lunch, but I calculated/tracked about 650 calories, 56 grams of protein, 21 carbs and 35 grams of fat. I'm still full from my dinner that I ate at 8 pm (and it's now 11) - so I know my sleeve wasn't 'stretched' or damaged by some of the bad food choices I made during the holidays. Have I mentioned that I love my sleeve? :)

Just a warning here....my doc fusses if I get below 50 on protein....says closer to 80 is better.....some protein passes through and is not absorbed....said to get a little more so my body would not think it was "STARVING"...sounds like you are back on track!

Congrats!

I pretty much ate what I wanted when I wanted for a few days there... bounced up 4 pounds (I can bounce about 3 pounds when eating everything right) but the scale was telling me something for sure... I started a lax version of Divas boot camp two days ago and lost it all back down to my lowest so far. At 11 months my restriction is still good. I can eat more than at 3 months, but it seems to be the same as about 7 months. Hurray for the sleeve!

My doc is pretty adamant that all the talk about stretching the sleeve is bunk.

He says maybe a tiny amount, but nothing that would be statistically significant.

He basically says with a clenched fist, this is how small your stomach will be for the rest of your life.

If that's true, I'm not sure how people start out only able to tolerate 400 calories, and then later they note they are taking in 1000 to 1400 calories a day? By eating constantly all day long? idk.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
