Bcole 6 Posted December 28, 2011 Hey everyone! I went to my 1 week post op appt yesterday and I am already down 9lbs! I was also progressed to a full liquid diet being that I wasn't getting in my Protein with the nectar Protein packs (yucky!) So now of course I can have the chocolate/vanilla shakes for protein but what else did you all drink on your full liquid diet? I'm not much of a sweet eater, I like more savory things so I guess Soups? But what else? We have a cheese and broccoli Soup, can I have that if strained? I'd love to hear your advice! gettingthere 11 Posted December 28, 2011 Hi, I am post op and I only have Soup and the Protein Shakes. I buy the Soups I likes and strain them. Brocolli and stilton is one of my favourite!
LoserMama 37 Posted December 28, 2011 My favorite Soup is PF Changs Hot and Sour Soup. Low fat, low carb, 5 g of Protein in a serving, and if you ask and explain to them, they will blend it. I asked the Nut about it in the hospital and she said it would be fine if it was smooth. Was my first full liquid lunch today. i was full after half a cup. See attached list of ideas from my doc. YMMV, please listen to your own doc's advice, but maybe here are some ideas.

LCS 21 Posted December 29, 2011 When I was on liquid I was permitted to eat yogurt, and cottage cheese. Also, Jello. It made the liquid diet a bit easier. Of course I had my Protein Shakes, and broth, etc. I would have iced coffee with a scoop of chocolate Protein Shake, and it tasted pretty good as well. Good luck.
