LBM 14 Posted December 27, 2011 I was sleeved a week ago. I know regular asperin is a no-no. But what about enteric asperin which dissolves in the intestine vs the tummy. Any input on this for me? Thanks!
swizzly 901 Posted December 27, 2011 I take enteric aspirin frequently, but I am also allowed to take regular aspirin and/or ibuprofen as needed, as long as it's not too often. 1 LBM reacted to this
LBM 14 Posted December 27, 2011 Thanks, Swizzly. I find the Celebrex (the one they perscibed) is not up to the job.
ampage1 0 Posted December 27, 2011 Better check with the doc on this one. Aspirin is a blood thinner and you may have to wait a certain length of time before you can start taking it again (to prevent oozing at the incision sites.) Best of luck to you! Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted December 28, 2011 my surgeons told me I can not take enteric aspirin due to the possibility of getting a stomach ulcer.
