Gastric Sleeve Question Re: Enteric Asperin

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved a week ago. I know regular asperin is a no-no. But what about enteric asperin which dissolves in the intestine vs the tummy. Any input on this for me? Thanks!

I take enteric aspirin frequently, but I am also allowed to take regular aspirin and/or ibuprofen as needed, as long as it's not too often.

Thanks, Swizzly. I find the Celebrex (the one they perscibed) is not up to the job.

Better check with the doc on this one. Aspirin is a blood thinner and you may have to wait a certain length of time before you can start taking it again (to prevent oozing at the incision sites.)

Best of luck to you!

my surgeons told me I can not take enteric aspirin due to the possibility of getting a stomach ulcer.
