wondering1 103 Posted December 25, 2011 Has anyone experienced numbness in their arms and legs since surgery? When I sit and cross my legs, the leg on top goes numb pretty quickly. Also if I lay on my side with my arm underneath me, my arm goes numb and my hand and fingers get really cold. This is just something I've noticed more lately. Does this indicate a Vitamin deficit or a circulation problem? Thanks for any advice you can give.
Pagie 64 Posted December 25, 2011 hi there- I had the same symptoms at 3 months post-op. turns out I had a potassium deficiency. I've have to up my intake and take a supplement - which is yucky- for about 2 weeks. My potassium level is improving as is my numbness. hope that helps. MoonSiren 48 Posted December 25, 2011 I would tell your doctor. The worse case scenario is that it could be a blood clot. Better safe than sorry!!
brol1k 50 Posted December 27, 2011 I also had experience numbness in my thighs, legs, lower abdomen... B12 did all the difference for me. I even lost total feeling in my thighs. 2500 sublingual b12 is what did it for me and feeling is back. Now... being that I lost so much weight, when I sit for a long period my legs do start to get numb but that is normal due to the weight loss and the stomach excess skin kinda pinching the nerve. for reference your more then welcome to check out my youtube Vlog for more reference www.youtube.com/brol1k

Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted January 22, 2012 I have had some numbness, but mostly cold extremities. Maybe it's just weight loss.
