waterlily1072 5 Posted July 26, 2006 #1 OK so we have had a major heat wave and I got really dehydrated. Is it normal to experience some swelling and discomfort with the band in this state? Yesterday I felt a little nausiated even from the swelling. #2 My school/work has taken me from being sedentary most of the day to being on my feet for seven hours per day only getting to sit for 3 short breaks. I am experiencing muscle soreness even in my abdomen. yesterday I felt like my body was just ripping apart at the seams. I was in a lot of pain by the end of the day. Can anyone tell me if this is normal for a heavy person or anyone to experience this as their body adjusts?

princess_n_thep 2 Posted July 26, 2006 I don't think that is normal for how far post op you are. I was a police officer and constantly on the go (jumping fences, chasing, running, ducking, etc) and I didn't have this problem when I was 4 months post op. So I would definitely bring this to your doctors attention. I live in Arizona and yes, the heat does dehydrate me and I have to really make sure I get the Water in, so to me... that is normal.
