frumpynomore 204 Posted December 22, 2011 CONGRATS! I am 9 days post op now and I can tell you that things will change day by day!. I got down Water, tea and broth in the hospital and then the day after I went home it was like my tastebuds went awry! Everything was too sweet, water tasted like mud, cold made my sleevette do flips and warm made it spasm! I'm just giving you a heads up so maybe you won't be as discouraged as I was if you anticipate it possibly coming. The one thing that I found that made a HUGE difference in taste and able to actually drink was chicken broth. My girlfriend boiled a whole chicken and really spiced it up with garlic, salt and pepper and then strained it. It was delicious and really turned my health around. Just be prepared for the unexpected and you won't get scared. Good luck!

Hi Pammie, we are practically neighbors. I am two days post op, in Presbyterian Plano. I was supposed to go home today but they are keeping me another day because everything hurts going down (like it's not going down). I think it's spasms. But I can walk laps around the ward like no one else. I am glad to hear yours has been no trouble at all!
