On A Good Note.. Nsv?

Recommended Posts

so when i woke up this morn and decided to get dressed i put my usual pants on only for the past few days they just don't fit right .. too loose.. he he he.. so i went into my room to see if i had anything smaller and i pulled out a pair of pants i bought about 3 years ago i wore these pants a total of about 5 times. .i always said one of these days ill fit in these again..

And for shits and giggles, honestly not thinking they would fit, tried them on anyways....

i had lost enough weight so far to wear them... and not just wear them, but wear them comfortably... funny part is.. half way thru the day i realized something.. they were starting to get a little loose which mean i still wont be able to wear these things for long cuz im just gonna keep losing weight...

so i called up a friend and asked her if she would like if i set my pants aside for her... lol

i think this would be an nsv? right?

I think that's a major NSV!!! I am personally an NSV ho. I keep track of them and look for them like a monkey looking for somethng shiny! LOL I've stalled a couple of times, but every time I stall, I find lots of NSVs to concentrate on.

Pants and clothes being too big? Oh, yeah, MAJOR NSV! I'd be happy-dancing, and did when I walked out of a pair of pants a few weeks ago.

42 pounds is phenomenal, and it will just keep getting better! :)

Aha! NSV makes sense now!

I'm with you, blackanese25. I was sleeved 12-8-11 and my pants are falling off me now. I had to go scrounging for underwear this morning because yesterday, they fell down in the middle of a client meeting and I had to excuse myself. Thankfully I had pants on but it was still a strange sensation.

Awesome NSV! I love any type of clothing NSV because I love clothes lol. I actually have about 5 pairs of jeans in my closet right now I am in a 16 I also have an 18 just to remind me. I have a 14 and a small 12 too. LOL I try them on at different times just to see. Hopefully one day!

Anyways congrats to you!

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
