I just realized I can now take off my wedding ring without using Windex! Lol I had to use Windex to get It off before my surgery on Halloween.

In a couple of months you will have to stop wearing it because it will start to slip right off. I am 4 months out from surgery and have lost a total of about 85 pounds (45 pre surgery). My wedding ring is a size 7 and I am now wearing a size 4 3/4 to 5. I can't believe how little my fingers are now. This is such crazy fun stuff!

Congrats my friend! Your doing great!

IMO the first NSV is always the best... because it's living proof it's working!! Congrats, this is always a really good one too. I agree with ShellBear, be prepared your rings will be fallen off ya soon... be careful more like it. You don't want to lose them. :)

My feet went from 10.5 to 9 or 9.5 and I got rid of LOADS of awesome shoes. Sigh.

My rings started at size 8 and now I'm about a 6.

my hubby bought me a ring and it was a size 7 but i just couldnt wait to wear it so i had it sized higher to 9 and it is lose on me now. i went from a size 11 to the 9 and now it is prob an 8. my shoes i am not sure what it is now but i know that the last time i wore my heals they fit just fine then when i went to church the were moving to much and i ended up with blisters on both big toes so telling you don't force yourself to wear them no matter what that hurts lol!

Congrats Bonbon! Good feeling!! I just got my ring resized to bigger. :P I can't wait for the other direction. I also can't WAIT for my feet to shrink! They're too fat to have very many shoes. I'm the only woman I know with less shoes than her husband. Surgery on 2/13/12. Can't wait!

I have a seiko watch that I have always loved. When I first got it I had a link taken out so it would not dangle around... then it got so tight I couldnt wear it, I lost the link. I put it up for years... I just got it back out and it fits great! Woohooo! I can also wear my wedding rings and my thumbring again....Down 55 pounds!

The sad news is that I went on vacation in Brazil this spring at my heaviest and bought jewelry. It wont fit anymore and I am going to have to have it resized! Yay, sort of....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
