escurnow 0 Posted December 19, 2011 Hi there- I'm new to these boards...I've been lurking a bit, but just joined. My surgery is finally scheduled for 12/21. I'm nervous, but excited about the possibilities. How did you guys go about choosing your goal weight? I know that the numbers aren't that important and how you feel and how your clothes fit matter more etc. etc. BUT... I'd like to have a number in mind! I was thinking the mid-way point between the recommended BMI, but that's smaller than I could ever imagine! Any pointers? Thanks!
sychadelic 10 Posted December 19, 2011 You could ask your surgeon at follow up appointments what they recommend or use a BMI calculator to find a weight that would fall in normal range at your height. Good luck.
Lissa 2,631 Posted December 19, 2011 I picked the weight I was when I graduated high school. It's also what I weighed when I got pregnant with my first child. However, I'll drop until I feel like it's "enough", then reevaluate what the number is at that point!
