are you chewing the food until its very mushy?

are you waiting in between bites?

are you eating too much?

these are the only reasons that ive read that could possibly make you feel this way :/

I have heard (no sleeve yet cannot confirm) that drinking too soon will do that, too.

How long ago did you have surgery? I remember feeling like that a lot in the beginning. You really, really have to chew well and take small bites. I think it's your esophagus spasming. After surgery mine was really twitchy (I have twitchy muscles in general) and if I swallowed to much, too fast, wrong temperature, etc. it would feel like I had swallowed a tennis ball.

I'm terrible for gobbling down my food and it's been a real challenge learning how to take it slowly and stop when I'm full. Old habits die hard. The sleeve will let you know if it doesn't appreciate what you're stuffing in it; this is one of the reasons why I picked this particular procedure -- I need that reminder.

If it keeps happening and it's affecting your ability to get your fluids and Protein in, then I would call the surgeon's office for advice.

You don't say how long ago your surgery was. However, I agree with Jasleeve. That is what happens to me if I do any of those things, eating too fast, too big of bites, drinking with my food or too fast, eating too much or not chewing enough. I am 4 weeks out and still learning how to eat right!!

I would make sure I was doing those things and then if it was still happening I would call my surgeon.

It really sounds like you might be over-filling your sleeve, but gas might cause the same feeling. Are you taking a PPI (Nexium, Prilosec)? If not, a call to your doctor's office will tell you which one they want you to take and it will help with the icky feeling.

But, like the others said, you should be sure you are being very careful to chew your food to applesauce consistency and that you are not drinking to soon after you eat. Technically, I get full very fast if I don't stop drinking liquids about 30 minutes before I eat as well.

Good luck!!
