I'm feeling down and disappointed in myself. I had a yardsale this weekend and maybe I wasn't being as food conscious as I should have been. I am back up to 221.4. Starting bootcamp tomorrow.

Today is a new day. Besides, yard sales are hard work. You probably worked off anything you ate. You've got this!!!!

I weighed yesterday, but forgot to post. I'm in a stall, no change up or down. I'm Even Steven this week. Wasn't there a Seinfeld episode about this? Ha! I digress...maybe next week. Sigh...

Each week, I watch as my email fills up with the successes of the people of the page. I have yet to post because I have not had a successful week in almost 6 months.

I'm filled with jealousy and disappointment.

The last six months have been filled with complications, pain, asthma, vomitting and nausau and now, an additional surgery is scheduled. I am 11 months out and after dropping 100lbs in 6 months, I haven't lost a lb in 5 months.

I'm not giving up. I'm on a new medication to deal with the extreme acid reflux that leaves a horrible burning in my stomach and throat. Now, I have less urge to eat to soak up that nasty acid feeling. I've worked out a meal plan and

My goal for this week is to post that I've lost 2lbs on the 9/1 Super Saturday Weigh In.

Wish me luck. :-D

I am so sorry you have had so many problems, but wow 100 lbs in even 11 months is a HUGE accomplishment. I have no doubt you'll make the 2 lbs. I'm rooting for you!!!

I am so sad your going through this struggle right now, but I've noticed that you have lost 100 lbs. This is fantastic.

I hate it when I'm not feeling well.. What does your doc say about your acid reflux and what are they doing to help you? I am almost 11 months out and I know that around the 6th month, my weight slowed down drastically to a crawl. It came off little by little and the closer I get to goal, the slower it goes, like zero. I miss the times when I would be dropping the weight like others on here but I have to face the fact that if I did lose tremendously right now, I would look like a skeleton! Don't want to be that extreme. You only have 36 lbs to go. So to baby your tummy because it's not feeling that well right now, try utilizing LilMissDiva's "The Basic Bootcamp" to help you get jump started. If you have difficulty finding it on here, let me know and I believe I have it copied in my docs on my computer. You have come this far and you can do this! We are here to help you achieve what ever it is that you want and need! :)

The surgeon is going to do another surgery to fix the reflux. It's so severe that the radiologist that did the upper GI was afraid to let me lie flat once she saw the amount of acid being pushed back up.

I'm going to start the Basic Bootcamp this week. That is a great idea. If I could just see small progress, I wouldn't feel like such a failure.

THanks for the support. I feel defeated. :-(

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
