MissE 8 Posted December 15, 2011 Okay... I'm freaking out a little. I'm having surgery THIS Friday in Mexico. Should I tell my doctor HERE before I go?? I literally have tomorrow to do so. Should I have blood work done first? A physical? Crumbs!!! I'm panicking a little.
MissE 8 Posted December 15, 2011 I'm 39 years old. Good health. No health concerns... other than low blood pressure. BMI is 31.
ocean_ophelia 31 Posted December 15, 2011 I sound like you, about the same age, bmi 30, having surgery in Mexico, have high blood pressure though. I am not telling my doctor before I go. I don't think most US doctors want to hear you're going to Mexico for surgery - it takes business away from them, and there's nothing he could do anyway. There's little follow-up with the sleeve. You could see him after for blood work. Best of luck to you! Which dr are you using in Mexico?
Sassygirl06 962 Posted December 15, 2011 i didnt have my surgery in mexico, but from what I have read on here, they do the blood work there before the surgery. you will do great. they have great facilities there and woderful docs that do this surgery all of the time. I would tell your primary doc incase you need any follow up care. other then that good luck to you!
