I was a big fan of ham and lentil Soup. I then pureed it with my hand mixer. Lots of Protein and bold flavor.

I would say grab any Soup you like and puree it. Just make sure it has Protein and carbs (veggies) in it.

Sure thing.

I just got to thinking, though. Be careful of the xxx with rice or the xxx and noodles. They may be a little tougher to digest at first and may be your go-to at the end of this phase. They say rice and Pasta expand in your stomach and at this point, those items are not the most important thing to be going in there given our restriction. Don't worry if you can only get a couple spoonfuls in. That is normal. Just take your time. Don't push yourself. It took me half an hour to eat 1/3 of a cup. One spoonful ... swallow ... wait a minute ... evaluate how that felt ... repeat. Do not drink other liquids while eating.

You'll do great.

Do you know what can and can not be eaten two weeks before surgery?. My surgery is scheduled next Thursday, Dec 22. I started out with plain broth and apple juices and h20.

Two weeks is usually pureed foods, but check with the dietician associated with your surgeon for your exact plan.

Pdx is right on point. You'll be baffled at how little you eat and how full you feel after only consuming 2 or 3 spoonfuls. It's very hard to grasp especially if you were accustomed to eating massive amounts of food before being sleeved like I was. It's really a mind screw! My advice is to only heat up small amounts of Soup at a time and store the rest in the refrigerator. Invest in lots of tupperware, because it'll take you days just to finish one can of soup. Oh yeah, it's also a good idea to invest in one of those mug heaters because you'll find that your food gets cold before you can even finish eating it!

My nutrition plan allowed soft, canned meats during the purees/mushies stage. I made tuna and chicken salad (I was allowed a bit of dill relish) with light mayo. I also ate lots of SF pudding, applesauce, yogurt, etc. This stage was pretty monotonous but it goes by quickly!

I'm really liking yogurt right now. I eat the yoplait light and the carbmasters from kroger. The carbmasters have 8g of Protein which is really awesome since I don't like greek yogurt. I also made some broccolli and cheese Soup, it was super yummy but I could only eat 3 bites lol.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
