I had my endoscopy yesterday, and I have had a slight sore throat when I swallow. This morning I decided to look in my mouth with a flashlight, and I noticed the same white stuff you get when you have tonsillitis, so I am wondering if it is tonsillitis or if its from the spray they used to numb my throat. (I did have tonsillitis like a month ago) Anyone else experienced this?

Were you awake for it? If so you got gypped out of a whole day of slight euphoria. Propofol just affects me that way. It's also sort of a game to me to try to see how fast I can come out of anesthesia.

Sounds like thrush or just tonsil rocks. Try a good mouth wash gargle, if it doesn't let up in a few days see the doc.

I don't remember a thing, my dad told me it looked like my eyes were rolling around the whole time.

My dad confirmed it, its tonsillitis, again!!! So I can expect 2 injections for my behind any minute now. I had a sore throat yesterday but we thought it was cause of the tube, o well, I should be used to needles by now.

Sorry you have the tonsilitis, I always hated having that!! I finally got my tonsils removed at 40 yrs of age haha. And it is true what they say, the older you are when you have that surgery, the harder it is!! I have had 2 kids and a hysterectomy, gall bladder removed, and now the Sleeve surgery. Tonsillectomy was BY FAR my most difficult recovery and very painful for wks. Feel better soon!!

My poor tonsils are torn to shreds. Never did get them out. My daughter on the other hand got hers out. They were so huge they took up most of her throat.

How did your dad get into the procedure room? Is he an MD?

My dad is a doctor and has been working at that hospital for forever and a day, as long as I remember anyways =P. He was actually sitting behind the curtains but he knows the doc, and the doc called him up to see. He really didn't want to see, because I was gagging up a storm.
