At 3 Weeks Post Gastric Sleeve Surgery How Much Do You Used To Eat?

Recommended Posts

Ok so I will be 3 weeks post op wednesday and I know everyone is different, But do you remember how much you used to eat at this stage? Like how many tsp's at once? I still on purees of course. I would like to see if I am eating the right portions. Yesterday I ate some refried Beans and then after tsp I forgot and I had a sip of Water, oooppss :( my stomach hurt a little. I am doing my best and waiting 30 minutes after every meal or snack. Thanks in advance :)

At that stage I was very swollen still and I was eating 2 tablespoons at a time for something like refried Beans. I could do a little more of a thinner yogurt.

I ordered a pintos and cheese at Taco Bell the day I finally got to mushies. I ate maybe 3 teaspoons of it before I was so full I couldn't do more. Everyone is different, though.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
