How much does water weigh?

Recommended Posts

Okay, this is easier to understand if you think of the air as something thick with mass, like Jello. If a fly is suspended in Jello (which fills the elevator) it will move up and down with the elevator without changing position, because it is too light to move through the jello on its own.

Suspend something heavier in the jello, like a marble, and if there is enough speed in the elevator going down, and enough of a sudden stop, the marble will move through the jello and end up on the bottom at that sudden stop.

So to a fly, air is more like the consistency of jello than it is to us. Just like we would be hard put to make our way through thick mucky mud, but to an elephant it's nothing.

And glass is a liquid... Seriously...

;)

you pee about as much as you take in because it is constantly recycled. ever notice if you only drink one or two glasses of Water you only pee maybe twice or three times that day? But if you drink a lot then you pee a lot. it just gets recycled. People who are proud of their "water weight" being lost, are unknowingly proud that they are dehydrating themselves. LOL

except for those of us who are getting rid of edema, extra Fluid in the body that is causing harm as opposed to helping.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
