My right hip has resumed hurting at night when I sleep. I can sleep on my left side, but is this just a normal side effect of losing the fat covering the joint?

TMI, but I now have a raging round of diarrhea. Still doing 70g of Protein and 64oz of Water a day. I've read here and there that some foods might cause it, so I've been avoiding plain eggs and eating a little more cheese to compensate. I had the same thing last week, but I think that was a tummy bug that's been going around, combined with antibiotics for a UTI. This time it's "different" from the last time. I'm trying not to be TOO gross here.

If it's not calmed down by tomorrow afternoon, I'll make an appt with the doc, but just looking for some real world advice.

If it has an odd smell it might be c. Diff. I hope you feel better!

Nope, no odd smell! I can't even come up with a polite way to describe the difference between last time and this time. I may have to get graphic with the nurse, but I hate to leave that on the board for posterity. Yikes!!

First part probably yes, you will also feel it when driving long distance if you feel your tale bone.

Second, how long out? First two weeks very little movement then finally with meat back into mix it helped.

My doctor's advice - add Fiber and meat to get more solid movements. To much liquid, get your 64 ounces in will just keep things wet.

Thanks, everyone. I'm a little over 3months and I'm staying hydrated and getting my Protein. I may have to add some fiber, probably in some kind of mix. I had cheese and half a banana as a snack and I'll see how I'm doing in the morning. :\

Hi Lissa, don't know if this will help but I thought I would throw it in. I discovered a lactose intolerance and from the start had trouble even with the shakes. So cheeses, milk, yogurt... you name it, equaled "trouble." Sometimes eggs too. Interestingly enough, this has changed!!!! I was able to tolerate some cheeses first, then yogurt and now even milk! I'm not sure why this is, why it can change. My guess would be digestive enzymes getting back to normal. Hope you feel better soon kiddo!!!!!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
