singand_dance 8 Posted November 25, 2011 Anyone have a late period post op? I've always been very regular. I had surgery 10/17 and started my period in the hospital. Now, for the first time I'm late. I'm certainly not pregnant, and doc said I can restart my birth control at 8 weeks. I've heard many stories of multiple/heavy periods but was anyone else late? lilymorg 4 Posted November 25, 2011 when did you stop your birth control? after stopping, it is common to be irregular for a few months. and im sure surgery reaks havoc on our bodies & hormones too.
Felicia 28 Posted November 27, 2011 Missing a periods after having something traumatic happen to your body is very normal. I went almost 4 months at one time with no perios because I was so stressed about work, money, and other personal stuff. As soon as your body is ready you will be back to normal. Don't Worry! Chicadee 10 Posted December 11, 2011 I didn't get mine for 2.5 months but when I did get it was extra heavy and long. Now it seems to be getting back to normal now. I did go to the GYN because of it and I was given premarin and provera to get it kick started again.
Beyon Sleeve 57 Posted January 31, 2012 I'm 4 weeks out and late too. Should have started right after surgery, but that didn't happen. Dec pap came back abnormal. Had to do a biopsy, no cancer (yay!) but discovered I have endometriosis (boo). Not looking forward to seeing Aunt Flo when she does come to town!
