Sarah E. S. 6 Posted November 17, 2011 So my Dr works closely with you during the 6 month weight loss diet plan presurgery. We set a goal for me to lose 16 pounds between now and surgery ( My personal goal is 25) however, I've already lost 9 of those and I'm only in month two ( WOOT WOOT). Anyone else know if you lose more than you are required if that will mess up the approval process? I know that the more I lose before surgery the better the results after surgery, but I worry still, that I won't be approved.
fluffylibra30 323 Posted November 17, 2011 im not sure but probably not as long as you dont go under the recommended BMI or other pre-quatfications your insurance put on you, it shouldnt mess anything up. I was approved without any other health issues because my BMI was over 40... I also had the 6 month of doc visits. My doc told me it was the time i should be learning to get in my Protein, cutting out the sugar and carbs and get on an excersice rountine which will be very important after surgery. I dint lose much weight, but i have hypothyroidism and it was hard to lose in the first palce lol. I did get into a great gym, and am taking all kinds of fun cardio classes! 1 Sarah E.
