Shelli_d 38 Posted November 14, 2011 this is the first post ive done since i did the intro one. I have met with the surgeon, and they referred me to the Bariatric center for the required 6 month diet thing my insurance requires (anthem BC/BS of GA) I have met with the dietitian and the meeting with the psychiatrist went well also..blood work done..looks like my cholesterol is high and i'm low in Vitamin D so i am on meds for that. Its really strange b/c i've never been on meds like this before. i'm hoping that after this surgery i will be able to be off them. Does the time go fast? because im so ready to get everything over with its crazy..i'm ready to be on the other side of the fence.
guzel 11 Posted November 14, 2011 I am so with you. My husband and I pondered this for two years and now that we've made the decision I just want it done! Everyday pre surgery just feels like a day wasted to me now.
fluffylibra30 323 Posted November 14, 2011 They put me on Vitamin D after my bloodwork also, my doc told me up to 85% of people are Vitamin D deficant but just never get tested, the vitamin D you might be on awhile inless you get out more after the surgery or get enough in your daily Vitamins after surgery. I only take 2 a week on Sunday and it bothers my tummy a little but not much. Sadly time goes slow.....i just got done my 6 month visits, still waiting on my date but approved by insurance. Take this time to try to get used to eating Protein, taking a Multi-Vitamin and if you can lose some weight during your 6 month visits the doc recomends it, it shows the insurance co. you are serious about losing the weight......
