Help for loose skin

Recommended Posts

There is an African book store in my town that sells some great relics and interesting books. I was in there looking around after vsg and came upon this creame made from Shea Butter. The woman told me it was a natural cure all for skin it takes care of acne, stretch marks and loose skin. I purchased a tube (only 7.00) and have been using it, I must say the stuff is GREAT. My skin is smooth and tight and there really are fewer stretch marks. I did some research and apparently this stuff is the real deal!

I agree, shea butter is great. All sorts of commercial creams are now adding some % of shea butter (it will be prominate in the label or advertising). Or you can get high % of shea butter stuff that normally comes from Africa. I bought a container of shea butter cream from an african ebay vendor. Really makes the skin soft and smooth. I asked a masseur once how he kept his hands so soft, and he told me shea butter.

Is it just 100% straight up shea butter? My mother in law makes soap/body products so she's got a ton of this stuff at her house and I can go forage. I've also read MSM is good for the elasticity of skin and that argon oil is like the holy grail for beauty (hair, skin, etc).

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
