I must say I truly love my sleeve. I have lost 82 lbs thus far. I get mistaken for a student everyday I work at a high school. During Halloween week the kids were having a party and they gave me a flyer thinking I was a student. I'm 30 years old so it feels good to be mistaken as a student some days. I can shop anywhere without fear of not being able to fit in the clothes. it's crazy because I stay on ebay shopping trying to find clothes that no one has mostly from China. My mind has yet to catch up with my weight loss. I haven't been this small since middle school. And even then I was bigger than the other kids. Being 145 as a child is not cool but as an adult you long to be that size. I love to dress up on the weekends as before basketball shorts and t-shirt use to suffice my desire to put on clothes. Now i have to jump fly everyday. I have longed for this day for so long. I wish I could have experienced this during college, Although i did get down to 159 for a day. It's strange when your over 200lbs you want to be 180 then when you get there you still feel big. Now I truly understand when people who are that size they want to be smaller. When I was larger and would here that I use to say to myself hell I wish I was 180 now I'm saying hell I wish i was 140..lol I know I'll get there and to tell the truth I have been to the gym maybe three times and my legs show I just can't bring myself to go...

Awesome....and you do look like one of the school kids. I can not wait to be where you are. I am moments away from getting below 200 for the first time in probably 10 years. I know I will be where you are but right now I just can't wait to get under 200. Way to go and keep it up!!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
