So, I have always been chubby but never really had a big belly. I have noticed that as the weight comes off the belly is not budging as quickly as other areas, giving me a "pooch" at the bottom of my belly. Has anyone else noticed their weight being distributed differently as they shed pounds?

My boobs and butt are gone and yes, I have a pooch for a belly now. You aren't alone.

my legs and butt are gone!!! I was standing doing dishes earlier and realized that no part of my legs or butt were touching my sweat pants--I tell everyone that I loose from the ground up

yep....very weird. i have always liked my legs because they are muscular, i have lost a lot off of my legs and now they are really skinny. my belly is still big, and so i look strange. really skinny on bottom and really big on top. on the possitive note though, i lost the extra w in my butt. you know which one, you normally have a W shape butt, however in us chubbys we have an extra little w in the middle. lol

i have lost that little w and am left with just one big W......i love that!

Mine is the exact opposite problem. I was pear shaped to begin with and now it seems as if the fat distribution has been taken over by gravity. I am losing it all up top and it is taking forever to get to my butt and legs. I am down to a 1x shirt but still fit into a 4x pants because of my butt and legs. The other problem is that everything jiggles. It's like the fat is not connected to my tissue anymore. Is that normal?

My arms and breasts and face have lost the most weight FOR SUREI have not lost any in the good old thuderthighs. I had my 3 month visit yesterday and I have lost almost 10 inches on my waist but only 4.5 on my hips. So I look cuter and curvier but I am still bottom heavy. I look way better with my clothes ON. :-) Working out with weights definately helps. I have been doing this for a month and my body is starting to look toned not like Jello, yay! Keep working out and eating right and thats all we can do!

Ducker... you are soooo not alone!

All my ife I have had the traditional pear shape... that is until I became morbidly obese... since losing weight, I am now a proper apple... and I have to say it is weird! The last of my weight is all around my middle - well, there is more but for my surgeon's goal, I think it is hanging around the ole tummy area - but at least I can now conceal it with nice clothes and clever underwear!!

YES! It's so weird! I lost in my legs this time around. I think it's because I'm older now (?). Not sure, but it's alllllll good :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
