longer-life 139 Posted November 6, 2011 My surgery is on the 16th! I am very excited. I had some butterflies in my stomach the last two weeks but now that most of the things I had to do, are done, I am pretty calm. I hope to stay that way.....but who knows. I suggest read, read, read on this website. It is wonderful. I feel as prepared as one can get thanks to this website and the wonderful posters. Having said all that, being nervous is very normal! :smile1: Best wishes! Please come say hi at the forum for November Sleevers! You will be a "Banana Babe"!!! http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/26418-banana-babes/page__hl__%2Bbanana+%2Bbabes__fromsearch__1 1 Monisue reacted to this

DidZ 1 Posted November 6, 2011 Hi to needalife,longer-life and Lilypad, I had my sleeve 7 weeks ago tomorrow, and like you needalife, I waited a year and then was told 2 weeks before the op that I was being admitted. I can honestly say that it is the best thing that i have ever done! I have spent too many years putting on weight and at last I am losing. I have lost 49lb, I think that might be a bit quick, but I'm not complaining as I am sure the loss will slow down. I had my op in London as i live here in the UK and I was looked after beautifully and despite my other illness/disabilites, all as gone smoothly and according to plan. I was nervous the day before the op but once in the hospital I felt excited! I'm going for my follow up appoinment next week and I want to shake the surgeon and his team by the hand. They truely have changed my life for the better. I would like to wish all three of you the all the very best, please let me know how you get on, DidZ
