CARE CREDIT and/or MEDICAL FINANCING CORP.

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had any success with either one of these companies? Does Care Credit even work with people going to MX? How strict are they. I was surpriisingly just turned down by my credit union and now am a little gun shy to persue outside options. Any input would be wonderful.

Thank you.

My surgeon's office accepted CareCredit, so that's what I did. I was in the states, so I don't know about Mexico. I used it to pay for the amount that I owed over insurance - which in my case would only pay for 50% after I met my deductible. I applied online and literally had an answer in seconds, then could print out my number and use it immediately if needed.

That's all my experience thus far - don't know how they'll be to work with in the long run.

I used carecredit for my co-pays, but I didn't go to Mexico so I'm not sure. It is definitely legit though and I have found it very easy and straightforward to use.

So I can't really help as far as using Care Credit in Mexico goes but I was a poor college student with no health insurance and needed dental work done. I applied for care credit and it was great. It is legit and easy to use.

Good luck

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
