SyLviE 0 Posted July 21, 2006 Did you experience an uncomfortable sensation over and around your port during the first week after surgery??
FunnyDuddies 6 Posted July 21, 2006 yes. it is just really sensitive because the port is stitched into the muscle. it will go away. i was banded a week before you and feel 1000% better already. Don't worry about it too much. Just take your tylenol for the pain, and try not to do too much. you want to let it heal.
Elisabethsew 50 Posted July 21, 2006 The port site pain was the worst for me and it was several weeks before I could sleep on my left side. As you heal, you're feel less pain so get plenty of rest, stay hydrated and get your required Protein in.
Magical_Me 0 Posted July 21, 2006 ugh yes! That was the one that took the longest to feel better! As the others have advised, it is painfull as it is stitched in place to the muscle so it would hurt more! It WILL go away too! thank goodness! Hope you feel better soon xx
Dody 0 Posted July 21, 2006 I was banded on Tuesday and the port pain is the only pain I have and that is controlled with my liquid pain meds or just Tylenol. The first couple days I felt like I had been run over by a freight train...sore, but it has completely gone away and just the residual port pain is left. I can't yet sleep on my side, but I can comfortably sleep on my back. Getting up is a bit of a problem, so I've learned to kind of roll out of bed. The pain gets better each day and is very common from what I'm told. If this is the worse it gets I've got this thing beaten Best of luck, God Bless
