BenisaMartim4 369 Posted November 2, 2011 I have read in many places that when a person is in the hospital, after surgery they are served Gatorade as a way to stay hydrated (especially if vomiting is present). Upon returning home, that person is told to discontinue the use of Gatorade because of the calorie and sugar content. Well, I have wonderful news for those that have not noticed; Gatorade now has a low cal version called G2 and Poweraide has a no cal version called Zero. Now we have better options for those bouts of nausea and vomiting post-op (or God forbid, the stomach flu) no cal/ low cal! The Zero is also an excellent source of hydration after workout or on hot summer days as it supplies electrolytes and some essential nutrient factors absent of sugar or calories. It is similar to drinking Crystal Lite, but better when the body has been depleted. So best of luck on your weight loss journey and alway keep you eyes open for new options to liven up your trip :0)
