Does anyone use this product? I have been using it because I like the way it tastes. I am trying to figure out if anyone that has gone through VSG has used this product for 3-6 months or longer?

Thanks!

I've never heard of it. I read a lot of WLS boards and I have never heard anyone even mention it before.

I live south of Dallas and these shakes are very popular. I tried them just to get something easy for breakfasts. They taste good but @ 12 grams of Protein, they may need Protein supplementation.

I have not been sleeved, just used them for weight loss.

I checked into it and they are soy Protein. I know WLS patients are supposed to stick to whey protein. Since my surgery I have become lactose intolerant. I have issues with whey and how I digest it, so the soy is a better choice for me personally. I am mixing them with Lactaid milk to get a bit of a protein boost. Almond milk tastes pretty yucky to me after surgery (and I LOVED it before) so that isn't much of an option for me. I do one shake in the morning with instant coffee and milk and I do one with fruit or cocoa powder and milk as a dessert before I go to bed. Thanks for your comments!

I mix my Breakfast shake with almond milk. I had not used almond milk before, and I find that I really like it. Sometimes I'll mix in sugar-free Syrup. It's really good also. I want to try the coffee shake mix. It sounds good.

You are doing great HDubsleevery!!

Do you mean Click? I LOVE coffee and for some reason I didn't like the Click (even though I was sure I would). You can buy sample packs on their website. I am glad I bought samples before I spent money on a whole canister. I buy the Starbucks Via. I get the kind that is made for cold drinks. I put a half a packet, a couple of splenda packets, a scope of Protein powder and 12-16 ounces of Lactaide milk. I blend it up and pour it over ice. I drink them a lot faster now than I did directly post-op.

Good luck with finding a shake you like!

I used it before my decision to get surgery and I could not get over the texture. But I was thinking about using it again after surg because of the Vitamins.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
