Life Spaces and your choices

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I have thought a lot about WLS and how it has changed my entire life. :Dbiggrin.gif Someone once told me that you cannot do much about the length of your life, but you can do a whole lot about the width and depth. So, think about improving your Life Spaces. I promise it will make a world of difference.:rolleyes:rolleyes.gif

Consider having Weight Loss Surgery and changing your life. If you are on this board you are thinking about it or have a date already set. I had my sleeve 3 years ago and it has changed my entire life--you can do the same thing with your life. You are going to feel sooooooooo much better and become healthy. Life is short don't give one more day away of your life being unhappy and unhealthy and being overweight.

Hugs,

Suzanne

I was struggling just a little bit today (scale didn't move and my tummy is being picky). This is EXACTLY what I needed to hear.

HUGS!!!!!

Thank you!

Hi,

I am so glad it helped. I have been where you are right now. I went for 9 days and the scale didn't move. I waant you to know that is is very normal to have what we call "Stalls." Our bodies do that. Just keep doing what you are doing and the weight loss will start up again. Never doubt what has worked for you in the past. Just drink your Water, get your Protein, and exercise some and eat healthy. You will start to lose again

Hugs,

Suzanne

Thanks for your post. It's nice to hear from someone who had the surgery a little longer and you're still keeping the weight off. That's a pretty big concern of mine- that I'll loose and put it back on!

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for the great responses. I know that sometimes you feel a little down when the scale doesn't move or you think that you have a long ways to go still. I had someone say to me one time--"I only lost 10 pounds this month." I said that was amazing and if you want to know how your body feels, go into the grocery store and pick up two 5 pounds bags of sugar and carry them around while you are shopping. I want you to hold them and carry them around all the time you are shopping for your groceries. Then at the end of your shopping take them back where you got them.

Now this is how good our body feels not packing around "just 10 pounds." It takes time, you did not put the weight on over night.

Hugs,

Suzanne

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
