Where does everyone purchase their vitamins?

Recommended Posts

I am still preop but starting to get everything ready.

I was just curious where everyone buys their Vitamins?

I take a MVI, B complex, Vit D3, & Calcium.< /p>

I also looked at Dr. Cirangles Hair loss kit and purchasing these seperately.

Flax Seed Oil

Co enzyme 10

Omega 3...anyone else takes these?

If so where do you purchase and get the best deal?

vitacost.com is my go to online pharmacy when I need to order stuff. I get my organic ground flax seed there, and when I was experimenting with Calcium Citrates, I ordered several from them. Plus, they carry a variety of Protein powders/mixes and my husband uses them when he's bulking up. They have flat rate shipping regardless of shipment weight so I would make a bulk order once every couple of months, and be set. I think my favorite thing about vitacost is that they carry everything, I can get my son's mulit, skin stuff, lotions, and various other crap that I could pick up at a retailer, but some of the brands they carry aren't available in our area. Plus, I get coupon codes and various other discounts that I use to cut costs.

I've been using Celebrate Multi Plus and their calcium citrate for nearly a year so I order direct from Celebrate.

I get my sublingual B12s at Walmart for about $5-$6.

Everything is cheaper at vitacost. They have everything you can think of.

The only thing I don't get there are my calcium citrate choc chews which come from Bariatric Advantage on auto ship. I still take calcium citrate capsules which I get from vitacost.< /p>

Costco! And, they just happen to have everything you will need:

- Chewy Multis

- Chewy Calcium

- hair, Skin, & Nails Supplement (not chewy but I half them and have no problems)

Fiesta has a HUGE variety of vitmains and supplements and the price is good.

They have several liquid vitamins, and liquid Calcium too.

I think it is because hispanics use quite a bit of home remedies rather than modern medicines.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
