BenisaMartim4 369 Posted October 26, 2011 My doctor's office is telling me that Toyota told them that they have to be a "center of excellence" and "blues center of distinction (which they are niether)." My insurance company said this is not right and I am completely covered for my procedure. The lady at the Dr. office still argued with me until I had the insurance to get her on a 3-way call and to fax the papers over. She is still saying ,"well, my supervisor says this is not right." I had the supervisor from the insurance company to send them that info! Does anyone have any suggestions of how to deal with them if they keep giving me the runaround. There is not another doctor within a hundred miles to do bariatric surgery.
SittingPretty 16 Posted October 27, 2011 I have Anthem of CA and had to use a center of excellence. Go to Anthems website and pull up the requirements just to be sure. Oh, they approved me in under 24 hours once everything was submitted.
BenisaMartim4 369 Posted October 27, 2011 They told me in Mississippi, they did not have those requirements, but that is totally awesome that they approved you that fast. Maybe it will work out that way for me. I have found them to be a very good company to work with; and because my husband works for a global company, our rates, co-payments and deductibles are extremely low. We are very blessed. Have Anthem email you the requirements then forward them to your Dr's office. They did that for me. My husband works for FedEx so we had low co-pays too
