Muscle and Nerve Damage!

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone..

Just need some advice or if you can relate please " Chime in" . I am 4 weeks out from my sleeve surgery and last week I started having Stabbing, burning , and nerve pain on my left side it hurts so bad that it takes my breath away at times. It does seem to be getting a little better from last week , but I can't bend over .

I called my Docs office and they said all this is normal and that some people start feeling worse at 4 to 6 weeks out.

The pain does come and go. But , it is a awful pain when it hits...

They have scheduled me a MRI but they don't think there is nothing serious. I feel fine and I am doing great with my sleeve otherwise. Did anyone have any of these issues??

Thanks :) Hope I get better soon so I can hit the gym..

For a few weeks I found when I lift my arms to run I would get a stabbing pain in the side, started on right eventually move to left and then it went away. It only occured when I was trying to run and moving the arms. Slight back pain but with losing weight fast and taking three weeks to get back to gym it was just normal.

I had so much pain on the left side of my belly button and it would vary between just a nagging pain to intense, it was all around one incission and the area where the drain had been inside me. The pain lasted for the first 2 months or so.

I had tons of pain in my sleeve too, at the top under the breasts. After nearly 2 weeks in the hospital the sweling finally started to go down and some of my issues were fixed. From what my surgeons said, some people have increased swelling and it tends to come to a head further out from surgery and tends to disappear around the 6-7 week mark.
