AV8ORnTX 14 Posted October 25, 2011 I've read so many great stories on here from those that have lost 100+ lbs and changed their lives. But does anyone know anything about the effectiveness of VSG for those starting with a BMI in the 34-35 range and a total of 50-60lbs to lose? I'm curious if the procedure is as effective and if the weight comes off at or near the same rate. Thanks in advance for any insight.
Foxbins 625 Posted October 26, 2011 Look at my ticker! BMI of 35, normal BMI of 25 achieved in September, 1 lb. away from my personal goal, and my surgery was 1/13/11.
ATeam 38 Posted October 26, 2011 I am in the same boat as you with a BMI in the low 30's. I have found many people on here who seem to have had the surgery with low BMIs and much success. From what I understand you will lose your weight, but it can just come off slower than someone who would be morbidly obese. Read further down to hear lots of stories of lower BMI people! 1 Britgal reacted to this
