Diagnosed with Barret's Esophagus due to acid (kinda scared)

Hi hun ive just recently been diagnosed but waiting for biopsies results to come back with either pre-cancerous or cancerous cells, scared stiff as i have a 2yr old little boy and i know its only 1 in every 200 people with barretts go onto get esphagal cancer my risk is higher due to my biological aunt passed away from cancer of the esophagus this january, it dont help my consultant is off sick at the min and i had to be given the news by a doc at my gp's although i do have to say he is a very good doc just goto wait to see my consultant to see what the biopsies say and to discus what action we will take, the worst thing is i have brittle asthma and after yrs of fighting for my life and being on steriods and very ill for 19yrs im better and coming off steriods at last and boom this happens its like im not allowed to be well
